Remote work has created a new phenomenon: the “work-from-bed” lifestyle. Instead of ergonomic chairs and desks, many employees are answering emails and attending meetings from under the duvet.
For workers, it’s ultimate comfort. They argue that as long as the job gets done, there’s nothing wrong with typing reports in pajamas. Morning commutes have been replaced by rolling over and opening a laptop.
Health experts, however, warn of the downsides. Poor posture, disrupted sleep patterns and lack of work-life boundaries are common side effects. Some even call it the death of professionalism.
But as home working continues, work-from-bed culture shows no signs of slowing down. For many, the bedroom has officially become the boardroom.
